Melford Hall, Long Melford

Melford Hall, Long Melford

Visited by Queen Elizabeth I in 1578, Melford Hall has been the family home of the Hyde Parkers since the 1780s.

Beatrix Potter was a cousin of the Hyde Parker family and came to love Melford through her many visits, drawing inspiration from the house and gardens and there are loads of events for youngsters throughout the year.

This charming mellow brick mansion is full of surprises and a great day out for all the family.

Open from  2 April, 2014, 1–5 pm Wednesday - Sunday.
